Posted on: January 21st, 2009 HDR Images – Lumix TZ5
It’s been a while since i’ve been looking into getting a point and shoot camera… initially I wanted to invest in a real pro camera… but I quickly realized that I wanted was just something simple, that I can capture fun moments with my friends and family… So a friend of mine owned the Lumix TZ5, and he kinda let me play with it for a little while… It turns out to have a bunch of pro features, and it makes this camera a powerful little monster… So I went online and ordered it.
I can say so far I am pleasantly surprised with the quality and clarity of the images, very easy to use, point and shoot or manual. I’m not here to review the camera, there’s plenty of people out there that do a better job at that… but all I can say that so far, I’m very happy with it.
I did an HDR test, using the bracketing feature, here’s the result.

Here’s one of the images used for it… this was the regular exposure shot.

If fire places are your thing, you can certanily relate to these really fancy/modern pieces of art. Glamm Fire presents its products with class, what almost feels like a fashion show, I really felt immersed in the site. Beside the clean design, I was specially pleased with the navigation. Clean interface, but fluent enough to make you want to explore more. I also liked the treatment on the icons, I thought it added a bit of fun to the site. Definitely worth checking out.

Ford came out with a new microsite depicting the all new Ford F-150… apart from the cool site, camera angles, comparison shots, they’ve also included Mike Rowe… As must of us know, Mike has been prettu much the voice of the Discovery Channel, with multiple shows, voice over, and commercials. With a personality that appeals to both men and women, he’s the perfect presenter for an hard working, prone to get dirty, truck… in all, cool site.

I can’t even begin to tell you how happy I was to see this site! I a soccer fan, and a huge Fifa Games Fan! this site strikes both of them… not only that, but it highlights my favorite team… REAL MADRID! The site is about the experience of soccer, and being immersed in the game. Believe it or not, sometimes it gets like that in my apartment… lots of screaming and cheering! It is definitely an awesome game and the site captures the emotion of what it’s like to play it!

So, I’m my class, I always talk about how important preloaders are, and why we should take the time to make innovative preloaders, and entertain the user from the get-go… Most people don’t realize how important these little pieces of art are, in fact, most client don’t want to see a preloader… ugh… However, when preloaders are done right, they can be pretty entertaining… Big Spaceship created a nice little repo of these, and it’s fun to see how much Flash Creatives and Developers have evolved…
Remember, these pieces may soon be a thing of the past with the faster connections and the future of our Digital World…
